I Suffer From Depression

 

You have got to see this video. 

I was amazed at the strength and determination

 that this young man has.

 

He found his voice at 19 and it took me until last year (when I was 41) to be able to say those four little words,

"I suffer from depression."

This video gives me hope!
A hope that one day people will no longer have to hide their depression or other mental illness from the world.
A hope that we will all be treated equal in
regards to medical treatment without the fear
of what others might think.
A hope that if we talk about mental health enough that the stigma of mental illness will disappear.

I really appreciate all of you who read my blog posts.  

I know that some of them have not been pretty these past few weeks.

I hope this is just a huge crater in the road of life and not a sink hole LOL 

(a little attempt at mental illness humor today)

I promised to always keep it real no matter what.

Depression isn't glamorous.

But there is hope and that is what keeps me alive.

Something to Think About

In the midst of a tragedy, good people are always there to help and thank
God these people are in the right place at the right time, with warm, caring
hearts But don't you think, we (including myself) all need to be more helpful
and kind to our fellow people, everyday, in everyway, even if people aren't
nice to us. What a much better place we would live in.
