Just a Reminder Why I Write
I have always been friendly, a people person, a talker. I always got along with just about anyone. But I never knew I had so much to say. I am NOT a "yes" or "no" type of gal. I respond, comment, answer everything as if it was an essay question. Maybe it has to do with my many years as a professional college student, who knows; or maybe it has to do with my shyness that plague my childhood and early adult years. One thing is for sure, I always loved to write. I always wanted to be heard and appreciated for what I wrote.
I feel like I have lived most my life wondering what others thought of me. Now that I have freed myself from what others think, I am able to be my true authentic self. I am finally able speak my mind. I am now able to speak openly about myself, express my feelings, and to tell the world what I honestly think about issues that interest me. I am finally able to write whatever I want as a blogger. Wow, what a great feeling to find my voice. The tape has been ripped off my mouth. Now I just cannot seem to shut up. I will not be quiet. I am me, hear me roar.
Yes, I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and I am highly sensitive among other illnesses. My only child, my teenage daughter suffers from Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Bipolar with Anger Issues. So you see, I want to do my part in helping to end the stigma of mental illness. I hope to inspire others. I want people to know that they are not alone. We all have a story to tell. This is my story, my journey with mental illness. I am not defined by my mental illness but it has made me who I am today. I blog to help myself and hopefully others. I also share my journey, my life, the real me on various social media outlets. I am an open book that I proudly display. I am not ashamed of who I am. I do not need anyone's persmission to live my life. It is MY life to live.
This is my always real, beautifully chaotic, mostly stressful, overly sensitive, wild at heart, very random, attitude filled, so caring, so loving, anxious with life, trying to cure my loneliness, hell of a story.

Wild about words
I am wild about words.
I love finding new fonts.
I love a thesaurus.
As long as I can remember,
I always wanted to be a writer,
believer, lover, dreamer,
to be braver, and to inspire others.
Writing is my way of making everything
I have longed for come alive.
By writing I make a difference,
a difference in me.
I always desired to share my
thoughts and feelings
with others in order to be
understood, to be able to express
myself, to be heard, to help, and
to let the real me out for the world to see.
I love that I am finally at one with
myself and my words.
I love writing and
writing loves me.
I may never write a book.
I am not a poet,
or a fiction writer.
I am just passionately
curious about writing.
I owe it all to my sensitivity,
perseverance, and the
ultimate soul searching that has
come from depression and
all it taught me.

More than just blogging
Day 12 of the 30 Day Blog-a-Day Challenge
Day 5 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge
So, I just figured something out.
Sometimes, okay most of the time,
I just sit down at the computer and
blog about whatever comes to my mind.
Sometimes I research articles,
sometimes I look online for a topic to write about.
But mostly, I just write, post, and blog from my mind.
So, yes I write to find out what I didn't know I knew (Robert Frost).
For me, writing is more than just blogging, it is a chance to unleash my mind.
It is a chance to look inside my deep, dark soul.
I am letting parts of me out for the first time.
Sometimes what I blog about is distressing, sometimes upbeat,
sometimes down right real.
But I am more than my diagnosis.
I am a deep, interesting, beautiful on the inside person.
I am a deep, interesting, beautiful on the inside person.
I love with all my heart, care with all my being, forgive easily but never forget.
I am grateful for hope inside my soul that keeps me going day after day,
no matter how bad things may seem for me.
This is why writing for me is so much more than just blogging.
It is now a keen part of my soul.
One thing I do know for sure, it is what
One thing I do know for sure, it is what
I was meant to do!
So I am here to stay, Haters!
To my supporters, I promise to always be me and keep it real!
Never a dull moment at Being Positive with a Depressive Soul, that's for sure!
Thanks everyone!
Much Love to All!
