WOW! I was recently honored the Best Moment Award. I, Jamie, was awarded another award for blogging, can you believe that? I am speechless and that never happens. Thank you, thank you Kelly @ Never Cry Over Spilled Milk for this honor and for all the nice things you said about me and my blog. Which you guys can read here!
Kelly is the strongest woman I know. She is an inspiration to me and I am so glad that we consider each other friends. I know that she would be there for me as well as I would be there for her. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and she suffers from Bipolar Disorder but she has chronic back pain also. She is a single mom to two girls a great blogger, and I admire her will to never give up no matter how bad she feels. You go Kelly!
My Acceptance Speech
First I want to say thank you Kelly, this means more to me than you know. WOW! I am always totally caught off guard when I win something; especially since I hardly ever win anything, but I am more amazed when I win a blogging award. I am so amazed that someone else admires me and my little ole blog. A blog that I started because I decided that I was no longer ashamed of my depression and I wanted to show the world the real me. It was time that I stopped hiding the real me. And boy has it been refreshing and freeing to be able to talk about my depression. It is such an awesome feeling being beautifully chaotic, depressing me. Lastly, Thanks to everyone who follows and supports me and my blog. Without you guys, I may have quit blogging a long time ago but now I am pretty sure I am in it for the long haul. I have had many best moments blogging and cannot wait to experience more. You can't get rid of me yet, blogosphere!

The five blogs that I am awarding the Best Moment Award to are:
Zoe@rewritten
Chris@Life Your Way
Rob-Bear@Bears Noting
Jules@My Mom's a Whack Job
Erin@Searching for Sanity
I have chosen these five blogs because of their continued support (Zoe and Rob-Bear), for believing in me by asking me to write my first guest blog post (Erin), and by always entertaining me and making me laugh even if I didn't want to (Chris and Jules). These five blogs and bloggers have inspired me to keep blogging even if I didn't feel like it, to never give up, to always laugh,
and I just hope to be as good as all of them one day.
*I think there is a tear in my eye* Much love to all of you!
So please check out these awesome bloggers and their wonderful blogs, you won't be disappointed.

ReplyDeleteWell done...I am truly speechless and I view very few people as my friends online or in person, I mean my true friends and I can honestly say my true friends and I would love to call you one of my true friends...
ReplyDeleteLove ya dear...
Kelly lynn
thank you so much Kelly! Like I said you ever need anything I am here. <3
Delete(CUE THE TWILIGHT ZONE MUSIC...doo de doo doo, doo de doo doo...)So what are the odds that I was nominating you while you were nominating me? apparently pretty stinking good cuz that's what went down.As you said the Liebster et al are exhaustive and I was basking in the simplicity of the Sisterhood award, so I didnt get a chance to pimp your blog. But I definitely would. I can only speak for myself as a supporter but you have taken on an(at times) unenviable role as advocate. It takes a great deal of courage to look stigma in the face and move on your way. ( I wanted to say "and spit!" Ha!) Thanks! Z~
ReplyDeleteRight! Maybe I should have bought a lottery ticket today LOL Oh well, it was pure coincidence or maybe it wasn't, Nahh anyway that's what went down LOL AND It seems that I am stronger than I think and dont feel ashamed at all to talk about it now,,,so freeing.

What a wonderful speech and such great words!!! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly feeling very loved right now. You were the first person I spoke to about being a guest poster on my website, so I think we both did pretty well for a couple of newbies. Thank you for the nomination, it is always appreciated. :)
ReplyDeleteSweetie, you have no idea how much your words meant to me! I am so very touched and honored. Much love and *big hugs*!
