My first post
Today is the day that I decided to blog my journey of continuing to remain and truly be positive all the while battling lifelong depression. I remember being so depressed when I was 12. Through my late teen years I self-medicated with alcohol. By the time I was 19, I finally had had enough and walked miles in the snow and cold to get to Katherine Hamilton's, an inpatient/outpatient facility here in my town. I was put on medication that day. Now, it took me all the way until last year to change my life for the positive after living decades with doubt, lack of faith, negativity, and bad habits. I was living in hell, self-destructive with no purpose and no hope. Today, at age 41, I am more positive and hopeful than I have ever been and now after months of journal writing and self-discovery, I am ready to share with you my jourmey...Jamie
