Do Over

Today I celebrate the next chapter in my life. Each chapter is a "do over" so I can begin anew.

I am making positive steps forward in my life's story. I own each and every one of my steps. I am strong enough and good enough. I am moving forward.  I am no longer my past, I am an influential part of each of my days from this day forward.

I greet each chapter of my life with hope, strength, and determination.

Today I am free to be me.
Today I got my life back.
Today my daughter's father no longer has a hold on me.
His toxic energy is not welcomed in my life ever again.

Today and everyday I will not repeat the past.

My future holds great things for me.
No one will stop me from receiving these great things that I deserve.

Ahhhhh!
A sigh of relief tonight.
I feel at peace.

Update on my Life (in affirmation style)

I have decided to choose joy and positivity over sadness and negativity. #affirmation

I have been very sad and in a dark place for a long time now.  I got to where I was no longer interested in the things that used to bring me joy, like reading, writing, and most of all blogging (which I adore). I even stopped watching TV.  I just sat staring at the same four walls every evening and every weekend for months, stuck at home, feeling hopeless and alone.  The walls were literally starting to close in on me. Luckily, I went to work everyday and that kept me halfway sane.  I am finally tired of feeling stuck.

I am able to do whatever I need to do to get myself to a better place. #affirmation

Now is the time to change what I am meant to change and accept what I cannot change.  I will set attainable goals in order to get my life back in living order instead of just survival mode. #affirmation

I will no longer just go through the motions of each day. #affirmation

I must start to live again, my health and well being depend on it. My daughter needs me now more then ever. She finally gets to see a psychiatrist on the 25th of this month. Hopefully, she will get on the right medication and get an actual full blown diagnosis so that she can get her moods stabilized and be able to finish high school early like we planned. I just want her straightened out and on the right track before she turns 18.

I am in therapy again and my psychiatrist upped my medication to try and give me some relief from all this sadness, darkness, self-induced stress, and depression I have been feeling.

I will trust the universe to know what is best for me.  I will be able to gain the wisdom I need so that I will know what to leave alone (what I cannot change). This in turn will enable me to gain the strength to change the things I can and need to in order to do what is best for me and my life. #affirmation

I will take one day at a time. I am strong enough to live my life as I see fit. I am in charge of my mental health. #affirmation

I am a beautiful, loving, caring, and deserving woman.  I accept myself for who I truly am. I am in charge of me.  I am making the changes necessary to better my life and myself. I am looking forward to change.  I am not here to please others. I am doing this for me.  #affirmation

And today is the day that my life begins again. I choose to experience the simple things in life again.  I am strong enough to kick this depressive state as I have done in the past. I am a fighter and I am ready for the next chapter in my life to begin. #affirmation

Life, Give me all you got! I am Ready!

Keeping my emotions in check

/

Can I, me Jamie, really learn to
control my emotions?
I think my next endeavor may
be to do just that.

I know my mind, my life, and most
certainly my blog posts are
all over the place but I really
don;t know how to be other
than randomly chaotic.

Irrational thoughts and
actions need to no longer
be a part of my life anymore.

Chaos must gather its' things
and move on down the road.

Inner peace must prevail.

It is not only good for my
general well being but to
aid in the treatment and
control of my depression;
as well as maybe lead to
less chaos in my writing.

You want to know how
I am going to do this?
I am going to commit to using
affirmations on a daily basis.
I said commit and that is very hard
for me to do except when I
do blog challenges, at least
the ones where I finish. HA!
They have gotten me prepared
for the real blog challenge
that is about to begin.

Like the challenge I am just now
declaring for myself.

Challenge Accepted!
Wish me luck.
Doubt just popped in my head.
(But I told it to go away)

Here are just a few affirmations
to get me started:
(I will start out with future tense
and work my way to present tense)
These can be found at Free Affirmations

I will remain calm.

I will control my emotions.

I am transforming into someone
who is naturally calm and collected.

I will deal with my emotions in positive fashion.

I am beginning to think logically,
even in stressful situations.

**Thanks to Free Affirmation.org for being my
guiding light to make me strong yet calm and rational.

Poof!  Chaos, stress, and sensitivity be gone!

Affirmation: I Sparkle, really?!?

/

Although I may be very small in contrast to the totality of our vast universe I KNOW that the SPECK that represents me in this world Shines as brightly and perfectly as any of the stars shining above us in the night sky. I SPARKLE! Yes I do!--Compliments of Phylameana lila Desy

One thing I can say is that I never thought I, me--Jamie, would or could ever sparkle.
Who knew?!?  I didn't know I had it in me, well I guess I do so I better start working the "sparkle" in me. I've got to let it shine before it goes dim.  Shine on, Jamie, Shine on! I will not be afraid to sparkle.  No one can dull my shine!

**Please note, I am writing this post on a Wednesday night, Diet Dew in my hand, whiny pet pig nudging me, in my jammies, needing a bath, but you know what?  I SPARKLE!  That's right, me in all my glory, sparkling like there is no tomorrow.  I am sparkling on with my bad self!

Positive Affirmation

I am changing and growing through the challenges that come my way. Although imperfect, I strive for perfection by loving and being loved. I cloak myself in radiant light and love. I arm myself with peace and optimism. Only the best of myself is available to brighten the path of those who accompany me along the way.

Thanks to A. MacInnis at About.com for this wonderful affirmation!

A to Z Challenge..An Auspicious Beginning

This is my first post for the 2013 Blogging From A to Z Challenge and boy am I nervous. As of right this minute, my theme for the month is positive words. I have a list of positive words to choose from that can be used in affirmations. Affirmations are positive self-declaration statements that I may need to get me through this challenge. Since positivity goes along with aspects of my blog my theme should work out quite nicely.

Now picking a positive word everyday that corresponds with the letter of the day and posting about it is going to be tough but I feel this is an auspicious beginning to a great month and an awesome challenge.

Auspicious suggests that the future is likely successful. I am going to have a promising outcome. I feel like things are in my favor and I have hope for the future.  Maybe I don't need to be nervous about this challenge after all, I got this!
