I am not alone

I find peace in knowing that I am not alone; I am not the only one that suffers from depression.  I am a woman who is smart, kind, loving, and sensitive. I may be overly trusting and try harder than others at times but my actions, thoughts, and feelings are all my own.  I work hard and deserve to have fun. When I am down I cry and when I am up I laugh.  I am more than my mental illness.

 I am me!

 I have learned to like myself and accept who I have become.  I don't judge myself by my past; I don't live there anymore. The present is all mine and I am confident and positive about the future. I deserve to be happy.  I am worthy of being loved.  My depression doesn't stop me from getting what I deserve. I am human.
