Current Events

/

My mind is chaotic, so much I want to talk about,
yet the thoughts won't come together.
I think and over think everything!

Justice did not prevail, another celebrity lost their life to an overdose,
and will Obama make us put computer chips in our arms,
this is what I am thinking about along with
dealing with the negative, darkness part of my brain.

Oh my, what a wonderful world we live in! **sarcasm**
Or maybe it is just me and my world that isn't wonderful.
Either way this world we live in is sometimes scary, sometimes unbelievable,
and sometimes beautifully chaotic.

Being as sensitive as I am, I need to not let the current events
of today bother me tomorrow.
I will have to monitor how much bad stuff I read and see.

I definitely do not need any added stress and anxiety in my life right now

Does anyone else feel the way I do about
focusing on too much bad stuff in the world
 and causing themselves unwanted stress?

  1. I know EXACTLY how you feel about the negativity in the world! It's why I don't watch the news. And I very clearly let those around me that unless it affects me personally, I really don't need to know. I can't deal with the negative out there while I'm still trying to deal with the negative in here.

  2. I think I am prone to cynicism but not necessarily negativity...that said I think that is so (as it wasn't always this way) because I news boycott and allow myself the news one day a week through a London newspaper(the Guardian) or BBC News because they are less sensational and negative than our news.
